In a large saucepan, mix tomato paste, stewed tomatoes, wine and water. Add garlic, sugar, salt, oregano, basil, and onion. Heat to boiling and then reduce the heat to simmer for at least 1 hour. Stir frequently, checking the thickness of the sauce. If it becomes too thick, add a little water. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all of the meatball ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Form meatballs of your preferred size (remember larger ones will take longer to cook). Place them on cookie sheets with Easy-Release foil lining the cookie sheets, or on cookie sheets with non-stick spray on them. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes for small meatballs, 20-25 for larger meatballs. They should be light brown and the thermometer should read 150 degrees. At that point, add them to the sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes and serve over spaghetti noodles!
